Recreational & Leisure Program Coordinator

Bezanson Agricultural Society’s purpose is to enrich the community through the encouragement of community spirit and well-being by providing facilities, recreation, educational programs, and community opportunities.

Bezanson Agricultural Society is accepting resumes for three (3) Youth Recreational & Leisure Program Coordinators.

Overview: The coordinator will work with a team and will be responsible for the planning, facilitating and delivery of summer programs and activities for children and youth at the Bezanson Community Event Centre.

Duties include:

  • Developing, coordinating, and facilitating summer activities and programs
  •  Promotion and advertising of summer opportunities
  •  Administrative duties pertaining to programs and events including reporting, design of events and safety documents
  • Cleaning of facilities upon conclusion of each program
  • Research and development of fall programs

 

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must be between 15 – 30 years of age at the start of employment
  • Must be a Canadian citizen and be legally entitled to work in Alberta as per provincial regulations
  • Able to clear a criminal record and vulnerable sector check
  • Has the ability to lead, exercise good judgment, and work safely while engaging the participants in the summer activities
  • Be a Team player
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be available and present for the duration of the 9 weeks of employment

 

Details:

  • 30 hours per week
  • This position is a 9-week position beginning June 23 and ending August 22.
