Recreational & Leisure Program Coordinator
Bezanson Agricultural Society’s purpose is to enrich the community through the encouragement of community spirit and well-being by providing facilities, recreation, educational programs, and community opportunities.
Bezanson Agricultural Society is accepting resumes for three (3) Youth Recreational & Leisure Program Coordinators.
Overview: The coordinator will work with a team and will be responsible for the planning, facilitating and delivery of summer programs and activities for children and youth at the Bezanson Community Event Centre.
Duties include:
- Developing, coordinating, and facilitating summer activities and programs
- Promotion and advertising of summer opportunities
- Administrative duties pertaining to programs and events including reporting, design of events and safety documents
- Cleaning of facilities upon conclusion of each program
- Research and development of fall programs
Qualifications:
- Candidates must be between 15 – 30 years of age at the start of employment
- Must be a Canadian citizen and be legally entitled to work in Alberta as per provincial regulations
- Able to clear a criminal record and vulnerable sector check
- Has the ability to lead, exercise good judgment, and work safely while engaging the participants in the summer activities
- Be a Team player
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be available and present for the duration of the 9 weeks of employment
Details:
- 30 hours per week
- This position is a 9-week position beginning June 23 and ending August 22.
